Redesigned, colorful MacBook Air to enter mass production in Q3 2022

Apple plans to upgrade one of the best Macs on the market today — the M1 MacBook Air. The rumor suggests that a redesigned model with colorful finishes and more ports has been developed. Although these rumors and leaks circulate for some weeks now, new details concerning its production have just appeared. The research note of Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo was shared that Apple begins the mass production of the refreshed notebook.

Kuo believes the upcoming, redesigned MacBook Air is expected to begin mass production in the third quarter of 2022, says MacRumors. The next generation of the Apple M1 chip is likely to power the new MacBook Air.

The next device will also be shared by Jon Prosser, a reliable Apple leaker, earlier this year. The new MacBook Air has a white keyboard, colorful aluminum bodies, and additional ports if the renders are exact. The newest ports include a return of the MagSafe charger and will probably match the color of the M1 iMacs that have been recently launched.

Mass Production of MacBook Air

Apple launched the latest MacBook Air upgrade with the new Apple M1 chip in November 2020. The M1 MacBook Air is designed exactly the same as the previous model. To get your hands on the new design, I think you will have to wait until next year.

Another virtual event is expected before Apple ends this year. It is to be focused on Mac but does not appear to be upgrading the MacBook Air this time. The MacBook Pro and the Mac Mini will most likely be the focus of the event. The former is expected to be the largest redesign since 2016 with the Apple M1X chip.

During the Mac event, also AirPods 3rd Gen can be released. They are probably shortened and inspired by AirPods Pro’s new overall design. We expected that they would be revealed earlier this month during the California Streaming iPhone event. That turned out to be wrong, however.
