The iPhone 14 series has been in the news for months, and we can fairly predict that Apple will release four of them in 2022, as it has done for the last two generations. We already know what the iPhone 14 will look like, but the freshly leaked details provide further information about all of the forthcoming models. Here’s what we know so far.

iPhone 14 Series Schematics Leaked

Weibo (through ShrimpApplePro on Twitter) has leaked schematics for the iPhone 14 series, giving us a glimpse of the upcoming devices’ design. According to this fresh report, the iPhone 14 will be available in four different models: the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Max, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max. This also confirms that, due to its poor market performance, Apple would discontinue the small variant. This is something we’ve heard previously, so it’ll probably happen later this year.

The leaked photographs largely show the design of the iPhone 14 series. Due to the presence of the reported 48MP primary camera, the iPhone 14 Pro variants have a huge rear camera hump. This will be a first for Apple, and the adoption of pixel-binning technology is expected to greatly improve low-light photography.

The ordinary, non-Pro models are expected to have lower camera bumps, implying that they will not receive a camera configuration change.

Other Details Available

There’s no indication of the iPhone 14 lineup’s display, but we may trust on past rumours. The presence of a “hole + pill” screen to replace the controversial notch has been speculated multiple times in the past as a design update for the iPhone 14. The iPhone 14 and 14 Pro are believed to have a 6.1-inch display, while the iPhone 14 Max and 14 Pro Max will most likely have a gigantic 6.7-inch display.

There are also rumours that the iPhone 14 versions will use various chipsets. While the Pro versions are expected to use the future A16 Bionic processor, the non-Pro devices, like the iPhone 13 series, are slated to use the A15 Bionic chipset.

Other information that have been revealed so far include larger batteries, improved camera features, and more. The iPhone 14 series is set to debut in September of this year, and that is when we will get all of the details. Until then, we’ll keep you updated on any rumours that come our way to keep the anticipation going.
