For Android gamers, Google has some good news. The business has revealed that Android games would be officially available on Windows next year. Google announced at The Game Awards that it will make it easier for players to play Android games on any platform, including a Windows laptop, tablet, or PC.

Android Games Coming To WIndows Next Year

The introduction of a native Google Play Games app on Windows will enable Android games on Windows. According to reports, the app will include a variety of Android gaming titles that will be published by Google. As a result, Google will no longer rely on a third party to supply games to potential users. As a result, users may no longer need to use Android emulators like Bluestacks and others.

The Google Play Games app for Windows is still being kept under wraps. However, it is scheduled to debut in 2022 and will allow users to effortlessly move between platforms when playing Android games. If a game is abandoned in the midst of an Android phone or tablet, players will be able to restart it on a laptop.

Google’s Product Director Games on Android and Google Play, Greg Hartell, in a statement to The Verge, said, “Starting in 2022, players will be able to experience their favorite Google Play games on more devices: seamlessly switching between a phone, tablet, Chromebook, and soon, Windows PCs. This Google-built product brings the best of Google Play Games to more laptops and desktops, and we are thrilled to expand our platform for players to enjoy their favorite Android games even more.

The announcement was also verified on the Game Awards’ Twitter account. The logo for the Google Play Games Windows app, which will be a green-colored half-game controller, is revealed in the tweet.

Google Play Games, for those who don’t know, is an online gaming service and SDK for developers that contains features like gamer profiles, cloud saves, achievements, and more. There’s also an Android app.

This new feature follows Microsoft’s recent announcement that Android apps will be supported on Windows 11. Google’s dedicated game app store, on the other hand, will be unique in that it will run on Windows 10 devices. To be clear, we don’t know how the service will operate. In 2022, more is likely to be released, so stay tuned for further information.
