Fortnite Is Back on iPhone and Android Devices; Here’s How to Access Right Now!

Epic Games’ developer account was cancelled by Apple in August 2020 for breaking App Store standards. Following that, the Fortnite creator and Apple engaged in a legal struggle that will last for years. With Fortnite still unavailable on Apple’s App Store and Google Play, Microsoft has stepped in to provide a free version of the game for iPhone and Android users.

Play Fortnite on iPhone For Free with Xbox Cloud Gaming

Fortnite is now accessible for free on iPhones, iPads, Android, and Windows via Xbox Cloud Gaming, as revealed earlier this week. As long as you have a Microsoft account, you may play the game right in your browser without having to download anything. You can play the game with a controller in addition to touch controls.

Fortnite is also notable for being the first free-to-play game on Xbox Cloud Gaming. It will not, however, be the last. “We’re starting with Fortnite, and in the future, we’ll aim to offer more Free-to-Play games that people enjoy.” In a blog post, Catherine Gluckstein, Vice President and Head of Product, Xbox Cloud Gaming, said, “At Xbox, we want to make gaming accessible to the 3 billion people around the world, and cloud plays an important role in that mission.”

Fortnite isn’t available only through Xbox Cloud Gaming. Nvidia’s GeForce Now launched a limited test for Fortnite on Android and iOS earlier this year. Unlike GeForce Now, though, you can play Fortnite on Xbox Cloud Gaming right now.

If you want to play Fortnite on your iPhone and live in one of the 26 supported regions (check the Cloud gaming – Ultimate only option under Xbox Game Pass), click the link below to get started!
