Budget-Centric Sony WF-C500 Truly Wireless Earbuds Launched in India

In India, Sony has launched the Sony WF-C500, a pair of truly wireless earphones. The new earbuds are affordable and feature features such as up to 20 hours of battery life, IPX4 splash and perspiration resistance, and more. Here’s a closer look at the specifics.

Sony WF-C500 is Here to Compete with Nothing and OnePlus

Digital Sound Enhancement Engine (DSEE) is included in the Sony WF-C500 for high-quality audio and calling. The Headphones Connect app’s Equalizer feature can be used to tweak the sound. 5.8mm dynamic Neodymium audio drivers are also included in the earphones.

The in-ear earbuds are small and compact, and they come with a cylindrical charging case that is both lightweight and portable. The WF-C500 earphones are available in black, white, orange, and green.

The Sony WF-C500 earbuds have a battery life of up to 10 hours, which may be extended to 20 hours with the charging case. Fast charging is also available with these TWS earbuds, which may deliver up to an hour of listening time in just 10 minutes of charging.

Unfortunately, Sony’s new inexpensive truly wireless earbuds lack Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), which is available on other TWS choices such as the Nothing ear (1), OnePlus Buds Z, Realme Buds Air Pro, and others.

The Sony WF-C500 also has buttons for playing/ pausing, increasing/ decreasing volume, and changing tunes. Users can also use this method to activate Google Assistant or Siri for making or receiving calls.

Price and Availability

The Sony WF-C500 TWS earbuds cost Rs 5,990 and compete with the likes of Nothing ear (1) and even the OnePlus Buds Z, which offer ANC, larger drivers, and more functionality.

Starting January 16, Sony’s inexpensive TWS earbuds will be available at Sony retail stores, the portal, major electronic stores, and other e-commerce websites.
